LATEST | Statement made regarding Vancouver's American players
The Vancouver Canucks have plenty of American players on their roster including the likes of Brock Boeser, Thatcher Demko, Quinn Hughes and J.T. Miller.
With yesterday being American Thanksgiving, an important holiday for many down south, Sportsnet Stats has shared an interesting tidbit regarding Vancouver's American players.
"#Canucks have an NHL-high 114 points from U.S.-born skaters this season. That is 30 more than the next closest team (Red Wings - 84)."
Leading the way among American players on the Vancouver Canucks is captain Quinn Hughes, who has 31 points this season. He's closely followed by J.T. Miller at 30 points.
Brock Boeser (22), Sam Lafferty (9), Tyler Myers (9), Dakota Joshua (5), Conor Garland (5), and Ian Cole (3) have also all been involved on the score sheet when it comes to American players.
The Canucks rely on their American players massively, especially Quinn Hughes. It'll be interesting to see how they finish the season in that category for most points among American-born players, but considering how they're playing along the 30-point gap over Detroit, it wouldn't be shocking to see them be first at the end of the year.
