During Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Sportsnet crew showed a quote from Thatcher Demko, who gave insight into the team's mindset for 2024.
Demko said that the team needs to be careful and respect the work they've put in so far this season and not to lose focus of that or else they're going to lose what they've accomplished quickly.
It's going to take a team effort throughout the final three months of the 2023-24 season in order to get back where the Canucks want to be - the Stanley Cup Playoffs. As of now, they're certainly in a good position to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2020, but as Demko says, they need to be careful and continue to do the work they've been doing all along.
The 28-year-old Demko is certainly doing his part to help the Canucks be in the position they are today. In 26 games, Demko has a record of 18-7-1 with a 2.48 goals against average, a .917 save percentage and three shutouts.
Vancouver now heads out on a big seven-game road trip where they'll face playoff contending teams such as the New York Rangers and New York Islanders, but they also face teams much lower in the NHL standings like the Buffalo Sabres and Columbus Blue Jackets, who they need to get wins against.
How many wins do you think the Canucks will get on their road trip? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
