LATEST | Vancouver Canucks announce important media conference on Friday
The Vancouver Canucks will have some important news to share with the media and fan base on Friday.
In a post on their public relations account on X, formerly Twitter, the Canucks announced they will be holding an important media conference at 11 a.m. PT on Friday.
"Credentialed media are invited to attend an important media conference for an announcement taking place at Rogers Arena on Friday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. PT." The Canucks said.
Calling a press conference with such short notice could mean it is something huge, such as an Elias Pettersson contract extension, which fans have been waiting for since he became eligible to sign one back in July. Or, it could be to announce a new practice facility that the team has reportedly been looking for a location to build on.
It's also possible it could have to do with a helmet announcement that the team teased back in December. In a social media post in December, the Canucks shared a short video of what appeared to be blue chrome helmets with the caption "Coming January 2024".
Stay tuned for more details later today!
