Tyler Myers' video goes viral after he undresses the goaltender
Tyler Myers started off training camp with a bang on Thursday. The Houston native had a one-on-one drill in which he sped by his opponent and made a slick move from backhand to forehand, sliding by Thatcher Demko.
In Tyler Myers' sixteen-year-career, he has not been known for goal-scoring. Myers scored 11 goals in his first season, showing off his ability to play offensive. The 19-year-old Myers, also recorded 37 assists and a +13 on the season, winning the Calder Trophy in 2009-10.
This is not the first Myers has scored highlight real goal. In his rookie season, Myers makes a pretty backhand to forehand move that absolutely fool Mike Smith to win the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Myers was never really able to put up a similar goal scoring year. The 6'8 defenseman has racked up 77 goals in 836 games over the rest of his career. The 33-year-old has played apart of three teams; the Canucks, Jets and Sabres.
Myers' has been a minute eater since joining the NHL, known for his defensive and physical game that has evolved later in his career. It is nice to see Myers show off the hands that got him picked 12th overall in the 2006 draft.
