Video from 2018 resurfaces: Quinn Hughes leadership on full display
The Vancouver Canucks named Quinn Hughes as Captain today. The exceptional defenseman will be expected to show great leadership in his new role with the team. Hughes has shown his leadership abilities, including in the 2019 World Junior Championship.
A tweet from Grady Sas shows a play where #15 Jakub Lauko hits #6 Jack Hughes awkwardly, injuring him. Quinn Hughes is right behind the play and immediately checks in on his brother before hitting Lauko and starting a fight with him.
Part of being a captain is sticking up for your teammates. If Quinn Hughes brings the same focus on sticking up for his teammates as he did on this play. He will continue to be loved by Canucks fans.
