Arshdeep Bains Demoted as the Vancouver Canucks Announce Starting Goalie & Lines to Face Pittsburgh Penguins
The Vancouver announce their projected lineup and starting goalie for their 3rd road trip game, as they face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.
With the Vancouver Canucks 2-0 victory over the Boston Bruins last night which improved their incredible road record to 8-1-0, the Nucks look to continue their hot streak on their second back to back.
Now, going for 3 consecutive wins, and playing back to back games, head coach Rick Tocchet has decoded to give Kevin Lankinen the break tonight.
After his 2-0 shutout He praised Lankinen last night in the post game interview, calling him the 1st, 2nd and 3rd star of the game.
«[Lankinen] was, you know, First, Second and Third Star,» Tocchet said. «He was very good tonight. Saw the puck extremely well. They're tough saves he made tonight, really tough.»
After Max Sasson's first career NHL game, where he also recorded his first NHL point, head coach Rick Tocchet says he deserves to be in the lineup, even though there was not a clear spot for him.
Tocchet said Sasson was tough decision, doesn't «deserve» to come out. Coach said he told Sasson to stay ready, could play tomorrow in Pittsburgh.

Kevin Lankinen
Arturs Silovs starts tonight for the Canucks. Max Sasson gets NHL Game No. 2, likely for Arshdeep Bains. Canucks carry 8-game road winning streak against Penguins, who are 1-3-2 in last 6 home games and have been outscored 10-2 in last two. They've had 3 days to prepare.
With Sasson getting his second look in the NHL, he looks to repeat exactly what he accomplished in his first game.
His game looks a lot more complete and well rounded than that of 'Arshdeep Bains'.
