The Edmonton Oilers may have to play Game 2 against the Canucks without superstar Leon Draisaitl, as the center's "cramping and equipment issues" have his Game 2 status in jeopardy.

Sportsnet's Brendan Batchelor said that Oilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed that both Adam Henrique and Leon Draisaitl would be game time decisions.

Draisaitl left in the second period of Game 1 in clear discomfort, and although he returned to the game and his coach downplayed any injury concerns he hasn't participated in Oilers skates in the last two days.

The center appeared to say to a team trainer "my back" after he left the ice.

In a media scrum on Friday, Draisaitl said he's feeling better today but will have to wait and see how he feels tonight.

The 28 year old must be dealing with some pretty serious injury concerns, as by his own admission he said it would take "a lot" to keep him out of the game.

It's an important time of year and we all want to be out there and be playing... obviously would take a lot, but we'll see tonight.

Draisaitl didn't want to go in depth on his injury or what caused it, but if Kris Knoblauch is to be believed, those must be some serious cramps.

If Draisaitl, or Henrique, are unable to suit up tonight, Sam Carrick is expected to draw into the lineup for Edmonton.
