The Vancouver Canucks are set to take on the Edmonton Oilers in Game 2 at Rogers Arena on Friday night as they look to take a 2-0 series lead and it looks like the team has decided on their starting goaltender.

According to Kevin Woodley of NHL.com, rookie goaltender Arturs Silovs will get the start between the pipes for Game 2 tonight and was the first one off the ice at the morning skate.

"Arturs Silovs out early with Ian Clark and working diligently on post-play alignment after getting caught a few times too steep in his Reverse in Game 1, which left him stuck and with no chance/no real push even on 1st PPG" Woodley said.

He added, "Silovs got the chat and first off, he's your projected Canucks starter for Game 2"

Since coming into action for the Canucks in Game 4 of their first round series due to an injury to Casey DeSmith, Silovs has played quite well and has impressed everyone around the team. In four games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Silovs has a record of 3-1 with a 2.28 goals against average, a .908 save percentage and one shutout.

Thatcher Demko is set to return from injury at some point later in the series, but in the meantime, it's Arturs Silovs' crease and Canucks fans can be confident in that decision from the coaching staff.

Puck drop for Game 2 tonight between the Canucks and Oilers is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and CBC across Canada.
