Canucks announce starting goalie & make significant lineup change ahead of matchup Vs. the Penguins
As the Vancouver Canucks look to continue their winning streak to 4 games this evening against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins, head coach Rock Tocchet still has decided to make a change to the lineup.
After a rough start to the year by losing their first 3 games of the season, in the Canucks first road trip, they turned things around quickly and are now looking for their 4th win in a row.
Despite winning 3 consecutive, Tocchet has decided to make a small but significant change to the lineup, as Daniel Sprong will be replacing centerman Nick Aman. He is expected to be playing alongside Pius Suter and recent call-up Arshdeep Bains.
Sprong has played three games and been a healthy scratch on three occasions. He scored the first Canucks goal of the season on opening night, but hasn't found the scoresheet since.
Canucks announce starting goalie and projected lineup for matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins
The Canucks have decided to keep going back to the hot hand as Kevin Lankinen will be making his 4th consecutive start in net as Artur Silovs will be on the bench. It is clear why they are riding Lankinen as he has won the last three games and now holds a 1.70 GAA, an insane 94.1% save percentage, and a shutout to boot.
Projected Lineup
On top of everything, the Canucks will be debuting their all black "Skate" Jerseys which they will wear almost half the home games moving forward.
