The Vancouver Canucks have one of the league's best goalies in Thatcher Demko, but his impact during his Canucks tenure has been limited by injuries.

On Tuesday, President Jim Rutherford joined the Bob McCown podcast and said that while it's definitely a concern, they believe there's hope for fixing it.
Asked about his starting goalie's health, Rutherford said that Demko is one of the hardest workers he's seen off the ice, and perhaps part of the solution would be dialling that back.
I think there needs to be some adjustments on how he approaches his workouts. Probably the hardest-working guy I've ever seen...Looking at how much work he's putting in between games might be able to help him. I think he pushes himself too hard.
The Canucks President said between Demko, Rick Tocchet, and goalie coach Ian Clark - providing some limitations on work between game days could benefit the goaltender, and mentioned that right now, he's probably putting enough work in just with his one on one time with Clark.
Despite the strong showing by Arturs Silovs, the Canucks will need a healthy Demko if they want to make it deeper than round 2 this season, and if more rest helps - it's a no-brainer.
