Former Vancouver Canuck Jimmy Vesey Involved in Trade Between Colorado Avalanche & New York Rangers
The Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers have come together to complete a trade involving former Vancouver Canucks forward Jimmy Vesey.
At the end of January,
New York swung a deal for Vancouver's
J.T. Miller, and now on Saturday, the Rangers are sending a former Canucks forward back to the Western Conference.

With less than one week until the trade deadline, action has begun to pick up as the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers have completed a deal today.
In a post on social media, the Colorado Avalanche announced that they've acquired former Vancouver Canuck Jimmy Vesey, defenseman
Ryan Lindgren (50 percent retained) and the signing rights to prospect
Hank Kempf.
In return, the New York Rangers received veteran defenseman
Calvin de Haan, forward
Juuso Parssinen, a 2025 second-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round pick.
"We have acquired Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey from the New York Rangers in exchange for Calvin de Haan and Juuso Parssinen." the Avalanche announced.
"New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Calvin de Haan, forward Juuso Parssinen, a conditional second-round pick and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey, and the rights to unsigned draft pick Hank Kempf. New York now owns eight selections in the upcoming draft." the New York Rangers
announced.
Vesey, 31, was a highly-touted prospect coming out of college after not signing with the team that drafted him, the Nashville Predators.
The Boston native ultimately chose the New York Rangers in August 2016 and since then, has made stops in Buffalo, Toronto, Vancouver and New Jersey, a second stint in The Big Apple and now, the Colorado Avalanche.
During the 2021 season, Vesey was
claimed off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs and went on to appear in 20 games for Vancouver, putting up three assists, six penalty minutes and was a minus-10.
