Big Things Coming to Former Vancouver Canucks Fan Favourite Defensemen Kevin Bieksa

Former Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa has been nominated for a pretty award and is looking to take home some hardware for the second year in a row.
Kevin Bieksa and his family have had plenty to celebrate recently including his son Cole,
who signed a contract with the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League for the 2025-26 season.
This week, the former Canucks defenseman found out he was nominated for a major award in Canada, for a fourth time, relating to his duties on Hockey Night in Canada and Sportsnet.
Kevin Bieksa nominated for Canadian Screen Award for second year
For the second consecutive year, former Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa has been nominated for the "Best Sports Analyst" from the Canadian Screen Awards.
"Congratulations to the @Sportsnet crew on being nominated for 12 #CdnScreenAwards! ✉️🙌" Sportsnet's Public Relations said on X.
Along with Kevin Bieksa, Craig Simpson, former Super Bowl champion Luke Wilson (TSN - SC with Jay Onrait), Craig McMorris (CBC - Paris 2024 Summer Olympics) and former Scottish soccer player Steven Caldwell (TSN - UEFA Euro 2024) has been nominated in the same category,
Meanwhile Ron MacLean is up for "Best Sports Host" for the role he played in Hockey Day in Canada and Chris Cuthbert earned a nomination for "Best Sports Play-By-Play Announcer".
Bieksa, 43, was nominated for the same award last season and
was announced as the winner during Sportsnet's broadcast of the Conference Finals in May.
The Grimsby, Ontario native joined Hockey Night in Canada as an analyst in 2020, bringing 13 years of NHL experience to their panel and has been a staple of their program every Saturday night.
This year's edition of the Canadian Screen Awards is set for May 30th-June 1st in Toronto, Ontario and we'll find out one of those nights if Kevin Bieksa has gone back-to-back as the Best Sports Analyst.
