Hughes could join elite company in playoff scoring
Quinn Hughes is just 4 points away from 20 in his NHL playoffs career, and if he starts the series hot he could join a short list of elite defencemen who have pulled off a rare feat.
If Hughes can be more than a point per game through his first 3 contests, he will be just the seventh defenceman in NHL history to record 20 playoff points in their first 20 playoff games.
Hughes would join Al Macinnis, Adam Fox, Gary Suter, Bob Dailey, Brian Leetch and Bobby Orr as the only D in NHL history to accomplish the feat.
With 17 playoff games under his belt so far, Hughes will have to come on strong if he wants to add his name to this list.
He and the Canucks will be taking on another potent offensive force on the blueline, as Roman Josi and the Predators are in Vancouver tonight for a puck drop at 7 PM (PST).
