It's confirmed for Arturs Silovs and Casey DeSmith
The news broke moments ago that there was a possibility that the Canucks may have to go to their third-string netminder due to yet, another injury.
Rick Tocchet wouldn't confirm Casey DeSmith as his starter heading into game four of this first-round series against the Nashville Predators. Referring to game-time decisions, insiders confirmed that Casey DeSmith could be sidelined after Thatcher Demko.
A renowned insider in the Canucks environment, Rick Dhaliwal, broke the news that the Canucks would, indeed, be coming into game four with the rookie Arturs Silovs as their starter. From his intel, he was also able to confirm that DeSmith's absence had nothing to do with the collision with Michael McCarron:
Silovs is starting tonight
DeSmith is hurt, and his injury is unrelated to McCarron's hit in game 3.

Silovs is known for his ability to step up his game when the stakes are high. After he led his nation to the Bronze medal at the 2023 World Championship, everybody viewed him as Thatcher Demko's successor. Now is his chance to prove it.
