Magical moment for Canucks prospect Melvin Fenstrom: The makings of a steal for Patrik Allvin
The Canucks have been making great selections and great use of their mid draft picks; this year's third round pick Melvin Fernstrom is yet another example.
The young Canucks made his professional debut in Sweden and didn't waste much time before registering his first point and goal:
The Canucks have a steal potential pick on their hands. A highly skilled winger with great hockey IQ, he was viewed by some of the scouts as a potential late first rounder. Allvin and his staff were able to land the Swede with the 93rd pick of the 2024 draft and since then, he's only proven to be an excellent pick for the team.
The youngster scored 31 goals and 65 points through 45 games in Sweden' top junior league last year. Now he'll be looking to up his game and take it to the SHL, it is also expected that he'll be in consideration to participate in this year World Junior Championship representing the Swedes.
