MAJOR | Huge surprise on waivers: Canucks Defenseman among five players waived
We knew more roster movement was coming, the Canucks' infirmary is emptying, and we've just received great news confirming one of the team's defensemen who had not yet played this year.
Patrik Allvin announced earlier that the Defenseman and former Canucks' 3rd Round Pick has been placed on waiver for assignment. Guillaume Brisebois has been dealing with concussion problem since the season started, it looks like he's now open for business:
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Guillaume Brisebois has been placed on waivers for assignment to Abbotsford (AHL).
Brisebois joins a list of four other players, including the former Canuck Sam Gagner:
Placed on NHL waivers today: Max Comtois (CAR), Sam Gagner (EDM), Vinni Lettieri (MIN), Jake Lucchini (MIN) and Guillaume Brisebois (VAN).
Brisebois had taken part in 17 NHL games last year and did well enough to earn himself an extension with the Canucks. It's nice to see him finally healthy.
