The Canucks have now moved to the second most crucial deal with their number two Defenseman, Filip Hronek. The expectation is that he'll also be given a vital pay raise. Still, once that's dealt with, the Canucks will have the ability to move on to their support group, and that's where Dakota Joshua, Teddy Blueger, Tyler Myers, Nikita Zadorov, Casey DeSmith and Ian Cole notably fit into.
Rick Dhaliwal discussed Allvin's problems and the tough choices he might have to deal with. On the Donnie and Dhali show earlier, he revealed that Allvin is considering signing Tyler Myers over Nikita Zadorov.
One thing is sure: Myers will be getting a vital salary reduction at that point. On the other hand, Zadorov will most likely look at the possibility of signing a longer-term deal at a similar or even higher AAV.
A series of dilemmas awaits Patrik Allvin, with lots of pending free agents, limited money, and a limited roster spot. This is especially true given that Tom Willander, D-Pettey, Jonathan Lekkerimaki, and Vasily Podkolzin are all going to be one step closer to the NHL next year.
