Quinn Hughes shares his thoughts on being a cover athlete for NHL 25
Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes recently shared his thoughts on being one of the cover athletes for NHL 25.
A couple of days ago, EA Sports made it official, Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, along with his brothers Jack and Luke of the New Jersey Devils, are the cover athletes for NHL 25, which comes out in just over a month.
After the news was made official, some behind the scenes footage was released and it showed Quinn Hughes sharing his thoughts on being a cover athlete for NHL 25 with his brothers.
"I mean, there's a lot of great players in the NHL and for them to want to have us three and base the game off of us is a special thing and I hope kids or whoever is playing around the world, enjoys it." Hughes said.
This will be the third time a Vancouver Canucks player has been on the main cover of an EA Sports NHL game, following in the footsteps of Kirk McLean (NHL 95) and Markus Naslund (NHL 2005). Other Canucks players have been featured on regional covers in the past including Henrik & Daniel Sedin, as well as Elias Pettersson.
More in-depth details regarding NHL 25, including for a revamped franchise mode, are set to be announce throughout September. Meanwhile, NHL 25 will launch worldwide on Friday, October 4th, the same day the 2024-25 season gets underway in Czechia between New Jersey and Buffalo.
