The Vancouver Canucks were dealt a serious blow in late November when Filip Hronek went down with a serious lower body injury, leaving Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford to consider options for replacement.
According to The Athletic's Arthur Staple, New York Rangers captain
Jacob Trouba will see his Rangers tenure come to an end on Friday one way or the other.
The Rangers have been mentioned in trade rumours frequently in recent weeks, with the 2023-24 President's Trophy Winners struggling and losing a grip on a playoff position.
Trouba is just one of the names that has popped up in rumours, with others including
Chris Kreider and Kappo Kakko as the Rangers seek a shakeup.
The Rangers were reportedly close to dealing their captain to the Red Wings in the offseason, but the 30 year old wouldn't waive his no trade clause.
Deals for Jacob Trouba already on the table?
According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, there are multiple deals on the table for the Rangers captain - but they'll all require him to waive his 15 team no trade list.
The Rangers could be telling Trouba to take his pick among the teams with offers on the table, or risk ending up on whichever lowest ranked team claims him.
It's believe that all 7 of the Canadian NHL teams would be on Trouba's list, who was drafted by and started his career with the Winnipeg Jets.
One way or the other, it looks like Jacob Trouba's Rangers career is officially over.
