Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet has announced the team's starting goalie and a potential lineup change for tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Vancouver pulled out a 3-2 win on Saturday night after dropping the first meeting between the two clubs back on November 9th by a score of 7 to 3.
The Vancouver Canucks are coming off a tough 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres, who sit dead-last in the Eastern Conference standings, despite being up 2-1 after 40 minutes.
Rick Tocchet's group will look to turn things around tonight in Edmonton and we now know who will get the start in net for Vancouver and there might be a lineup change as well.
Thatcher Demko to start, potential lineup change for Vancouver Canucks per Rick Tocchet
When meeting with reporters this afternoon, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet announced that Thatcher Demko will get the start tonight against Edmonton, which is his fourth straight.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D
Noah Juulsen has been placed on retroactive IR (retroactive to Jan. 14) and D Elias Pettersson and F Linus Karlsson have been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL)." the Canucks announced.
While Tocchet announced today that Elias Pettersson won't be making his National Hockey League debut tonight, there's a chance fans could see Linus Karlsson draw into the lineup, but a final decision has not been made yet.
Puck drop for tonight's game is set for just after 6 pm PT and can be viewed on Sportsnet Pacific in the Vancouver area.
