Obviously the final of the 4 Nations Face-Off did not go as planned for team USA as they lost to Canada, but Ottawa Senators Captain Brady Tkachuk has taken a shot to the Vancouver Canucks for worsening their chances.

After the semi-final game for the Americans, it was announced that Canucks captain Quinn Hughes would be reportedly joining the team last minute to partake in the finals against Canada, but due to Patrik Allvin and Vancouver, that never came to fruition.

Brady Tkachuk not happy with the Vancouver Canucks for refuses Quinn Hughes to play

Leading up to the tournament, Quinn Hughes did everything in his power to try and play for his country, but an oblique injury suffered in late January put a halt to those dreams.
He missed 4 consecutive games for the Canucks leading up to the best-on-best event which contributed to the decision to sit out.
With an injury to Charlie MacAvoy, the 10 days rest gave Hughes the ability to recover, but it still wasn't enough.
His absence was a major loss for the team and Sens captain Brady Tkachuk took a shot at the Canucks for not medically clearing him to play.
His exact words were quoted when he appeared on the popular hockey podcast Spittin' Chiclets.
Calling it "shady business," Tkachuk hinted at the Canucks' priorities and emphasized how close Team USA was to winning despite missing one of the NHL's best defensemen.

Brady Tkachuk said, *I actually FaceTimed Quinn. Kinda like when he was figuring it out when people were like 'Quinn might come, Quinn might not come'. I think he was all about coming, but I just don't think he got cleared by Vancouver to play.

So, little shady business to begin with. We all know who they are cheering for.
"But I think that just opens the gate for excitement that this whole tournament was special and know we're one shot away and still didn't have one of the best defensemen in the NHL, if not the best, with Quinn."

Brady Tkachuk on Spittin Chiclets saying #Canucks not clearing Hughes was «shady business»
Tkachuk can be salty about the decision all he wants, but for one, the rules were in place that would probably have disallowed Hughes to participate, and two, him playing would risk the remainder of his season.
