Following last year's training camp, everybody agreed that Jett Woo was the next man up to the
NHL. The sequence of events led to two NHL call-ups for the youngster, but he never got a chance actually to play. The Canucks chose to send him through waivers, hoping that he'll head to Abbotsford. Right-handed shot defenceman with experience at the NHL level as a former second-round pick, it wouldn't be a shock to anyone if he ended up being claimed. Once viewed as a blue-chip two-way prospect, there's still hope for the 24 year old, but maybe not in Vancouver.
