As the Vancouver Canucks take on the Ottawa Senators tonight to kick off their 6-game eastern road trip, head coach Rick Tocchet has announced their starting goalie and lineup to try and get back in the win column.

With out big names like J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser, Rick Tocchet made it clear that the Canucks are facing some major adversity right now but he believes they can make it through.

«This team has some adversity right now. This is where you learn from it and you can build off it.»

With Boeser still out with a head injury and Miller taking a surprise leave of absence just a few days ago, the lines have been shuffled around to fill the holes left by their two superstars.

A major narrative coming into this one is the exciting call up of forward Max Sasson.

24-year-old Sasson is scheduled to make is NHL debut tonight after going undrafted and working his way up through the AHL with the Abbotsford Canucks.

He is slotted to be on the fourth line playing alongside side Arshdeep Bains and Aatu Raty.

It's just a ton of emotions and I'm sure it'll sink in even more," said Sasson after practice on Friday. "I'm just thinking about all the days at the rink growing up and how much it means to my family and friends and everyone that followed me throughout my career."
