With Devils' Jack and Luke Hughes coming into to town to face off against their brother Quinn Hughes, the three siblings will all step foot on the same ice, adding a little extra meaning to this evenings matchup (October 30th).
After winning four consecutive games, Rick Tocchet reveled that he was not going to make any changes until they lost, and with them falling to the Hurricanes in OT on Monday, he immediately went back to the drawing board to improve on things he did not like.
It was reported that the Canucks would most likely go back to Kevin Lankinen, who would be making his 5th consecutive start in net, as Arturs Silovs would be on the bench once again.
Before his OT loss, he held a 1.70 GAA, an insane 94.1% save percentage, adding another shutout to his resume.
Now, with that being said, according to Sportsnet 690, what had been seen at pre-game skate today was that Arthur Silovs was the first goalie off the ice, indicating his return to action, and immediately after practice, head coach Rick Tocchet confirmed Silovs as the starter.
This will be Silovs' first game in two weeks, as he last played against the Tampa Bay Lightning on October 15, it will be quite interesting to see how he bounces back after such an extended break from NHL action.
Obviously, it is never 100% confirmed what the lineups will be or who the starting goalie will get the nod, but from the looks at pre-game practice today, (which almost guarantees the lineup and starting goalies), it looks like head coach Rick Tocchet is making some big changes to the lineup, especially the powerplay.
