The Vancouver Canucks are getting ready for their second-last game of the 2024-25 season tonight as they host the San Jose Sharks and the team's projected lines have been revealed.

Last week, the Vancouver Canucks' postseason hopes mathematically came to an end, meaning the club would be missing out on the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
Tonight, Canucks will be taking on North Vancouver native Macklin Celebrini and the San Jose Sharks, who are confirmed to have the best odds at selecting first overall for the second consecutive year as they sit dead-last in the NHL standings with a record of 20-49-11 through 80 games.

Following Monday's morning skate, Daniel Wagner of Vancouver is Awesome shared the Canucks' projected lineup for tonight's game.
As was announced earlier today by head coach Rick Tocchet, there will be two National Hockey League debuts for Vancouver as Nikita Tolopilo gets the start between the pipes, while Kirill Kudryavtsev will draw in on the blueline.
Kudryavtsev is set to take the place of Derek Forbort who suffered a broken orbital bone on Saturday night after being on the receiving end of a sucker punch from Minnesota's Yakov Trenin.
Here are the team's projected lines and defensive pairings, according to Wagner, for tonight's contest:
Hoglander -- Suter -- Garland
DeBrusk -- Mueller -- Boeser
Joshua -- Raty -- Sherwood
O'Connor -- Blueger -- Karlsson
Hughes -- E. Pettersson
M. Pettersson -- Hronek
Kudyavtsev - Mancini
Tolopilo
Lankinen
With a win tonight, the Vancouver Canucks will sweep the season series over the Sharks, with three previous victories vs San Jose coming into Monday's action - November 2nd (3-2 W), December 23rd (4-3 W), February 6th (2-1 W).
Puck drop for tonight's contest is set for just after 7 pm PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
