Report: Vancouver Canucks Star Forward Considering Trade Request?

It has been well documented that Vancouver Canucks star J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson are not the closes of friends, but the drama has reached new heights in the public eye, deducing that there may only be one option to settle it.
Will Either Elias Pettersson or J.T. Miller request a trade from the Vancouver Canucks
NHL reporter Patrik Johnson of the The Province, is fully committed to the notion that the relationship between Miller and Pettersson are beyond repair, and feels that a trade may be the only option left.
"It's hard to see this carrying on at this point. If one or both of these players has said to management «me or him," it would not be a surprise.
Allvin acknowledged to me on Friday he's ready to make a trade if he has to. He doesn't hang up the phone on anyone. Teams are calling. You can bet Buffalo is one."
- Patrick Johnson, The Province
In reality, there is a very low chance that either one of them put in a slip for a trade, but the alternative action could come from Patrik Allvin, who may take matters into his own hands and decide to move on from on of them.
If this is the outcome, then who do the Canucks move on from?
Fans may not want to hear it but, Miller is the only real option. Miller is on a shorter and less expensive deal, and is also 5 years older than Pettersson.
»Trading Pettersson is a tricky thing to do. He's on a big contract, there are real questions about how he's handling himself, and there are internal questions about how he prepares himself for the season. Can he be the player that matches the contract?«
- Patrick Johnson
Regardless of what happens, the Vancouver Canucks locker room are in a bad place, and hopefully this holiday break that kicks in on Tuesday is just what the doctor ordered to fix some of these big issues.
