Vancouver Canucks top prospect and defenseman for Team Sweden in the 2024 World Junior Hockey Championships, Tom Willander had a break out game against Slovakia, which is getting Canucks fans even more excited about his future.

Team Sweden took on Slovakia today in the Nations Capital, where Tom Willander is showcasing all the reasons why the Vancouver Canucks drafted him.

Vancouver Canucks Top Prospect has Breakout Game Against Switzerland

The 19-year-old defenseman who currently plays for Boston University in the NCAA was drafted 11th overall by the Canucks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and is touted as a elite puck moving/2-way defender.

Willander already has impressed in the WJC tournament, leading Sweden in ice time in both of their preliminary games, and recording 2 assists. But as a top prospect, you fans were expected a bit more.
