2024 Top Prospect already on his way to Connor Bedard's records
Connor Bedard has been unreal ever since he set foot in the NHL. The 18-year-old leads all rookies for points and has shown on various occasions how lethal he could be in the offensive zone. Months before stepping foot in the NHL, the youngster actually dominated the World Juniors and now, another Vancouver product is on track to do the same.
MACKLIN CELEBRINI: THE NEXT BIG THING
Currently putting up outstanding numbers in the NCAA as a 17-year-old, Celebrini joined the Canadian team for the World Juniors and his currently showing why he deserves to be number one pick in the upcoming draft.
The youngster had 5 points during today's outing bringing his total to 7 after 2 games.
Celebrini has been drawing early comparisons to one of the league's very best in Sidney Crosby, Bedard had marked a World Junior High 23 points during 7-game tournament and Celibrini's current pace brings him up to 21 if Team Canada makes it all the way to the finals:
�'Celebrini is now on pace for 21 points if Canada wins the quarterfinals and plays seven games. Bedard had 23. We are getting spoiled the past two WJCs....savour it.''
In 15 collegiate games at Boston University, Celebrini is already up to 25 points. As a comparison, it's a similar pace to Jack Eichel and Adam Fantilli who both achieved a similar deed but as a late born players.
