Bo Horvat took over from long-standing team captain and Canucks legend Henrik Sedin, but Vancouver will now be on the look out for a new vibe.
Patrik Allvin openly stated in his press conference last night, that two candidates have been emerging as leaders in the locker room and that they'd be looking to give them bigger roles moving forward.
Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes, both have been with the team for quite a while. They've both developed nicely and grown both as players but also as persons on the ice. Pettersson has notably grown into quite the superstar player since Bruce Boudreau's arrival, he's kept it up in the three games he had witch Tocchet as well.
Obviously, Pettersson has led by example since the beginning of the year. He's been outstanding in every aspect of his game, so my personal choice may already be made.
No mention of J.T. Miller whatsoever, the same player that was offered $56M on a silver platter. Don't get me wrong, I still think he's a good Hockey player, but if he's worthy of that much money. Shouldn't he also be a leader in this room?
Moving forward, who do you think should be given the reigns of the team?
