BREAKING: Former 1st round pick on waivers
The Predators just submitted their former 2017 1st round pick (30th) on waivers.
The left-handed winger, Eeli Tolvanen, had always been recognized for his scoring abilities, but hasn't been able to hit his stride at the highest level of the game.
He's cumulated 71 points in 121 games in the AHL before moving up to the NHL where he only had 51 in 135 games. The Finnish player carries a $1.45M AAV until 2024.
The advanced stats show his tremendous abilities. It could represent a great opportunity for the team to add depth at low risk and a really low cost.
