BREAKING | Islanders going all-in and are setting up another BlockBuster trade
Lou Lamoriello really shook the NHL world when it was announced that he had won the Horvat derby.
Pulling the trigger on such a deal really shows how much he believes in his group, especially since they are still a few points out of playoff contention. Though it appears Lamoriello is not yet done with his shopping list since Hockey Insider Stefen Rosner added another forward to the Islanders' wish list.
It's out there that Tarasenko would consider the Islanders as a prime destination if the Blues decide to move from the upcoming UFA at this year's deadline.
The Islanders would add him as a rental since his contract is coming to an end and every dollar remaining on their cap is expected to go toward re-signing Horvat.
The Russian winger was slowed down a bit by injuries this year but proved last year that his best days are not yet behind him. Last year he registered nothing less than 35 goals and 82 points in only 75 outings. This year through his time on the IR, he was able to put up 29 in 38.
Are the Islanders making the right move considering Tarasenko? They just added Horvat, would adding Tarasenko make them a serious Cup contender?
