Former Canuck on waivers
The waiver wire was announced earlier today and it's featuring a former Canuck.
The Florida Panthers have waived forward Zac Dalpe for the purpose of assignment to their AHL affiliate in Charlotte, the Checkers.
Dalpe was origanilly picked in the 2008 Draft (45th) total by the Carolina Hurricanes. He's been in the Panthers organization for a second straight year, where he had 4 points in 11 games before being sent down. He'll most likely renew with the Charlotte Checkers where he is the team captain. He's managed 15 points in 19 AHL outings this season.
Dalpe was with the Canucks organization for a year back in the 2013-2014 season. During his time with club, he registered 7 points in 55 games and the club chose not to retain his services the following year.
