The Vancouver Canucks returned to action after this weekend's NHL All-Star weekend festivities. It hasn't been the season the Canucks were hoping for, but despite all the struggles the team wants to finish the year strong for their fans.
The Canucks started this one off right when Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko would give the Canucks an early 1-0 lead with a filthy highlight reel snipe beating Devils' goaltender Vitek Vanecek for his 21st goal of the season.
Unfortunately for the Canucks, their first game after trading away captain Bo Horvat isn't going well with the Devils scoring 4 unanswered goals to build a 4-1 lead. The Canucks made their way back into the game but ultimately fell short in the extra frame.
