LATEST | 14-year-old tragically passes away after collapsing during practice
We have some sad news to report on in the hockey world on Friday, as a young player in Perm, Russia has passed away after collapsing during a practice.
According to reports, Kirill Kharlamov was having a hard time breathing during the team's training session and fell to his knees. The team's doctors proceeded to call for an ambulance and worked on him until they got there, but unfortunately, Kharlamov passed away at the hospital.
"He fell to his knees and said that it was hard for him to breathe," said Kharlamov's coach.
Our thoughts are with the Kharlamov family as well as his teammates and coaches at this extremely difficult time.
