LATEST | Bruce Boudreau offers his views on JT Miller and it contradicts everything we've heard from insiders
It wasn't too long ago that J.T. Miller was in the middle of every controversy and Bruce Boudreau, the Canucks' former head coach, just added to it.
Frank Seravalli openly stated that from what he'd heard, J.T. Had developed the reputation of being a prick in the locker room.
Though today Bruce Boudreau was on air with Nick Kypreos and completely contradicted what Seravalli stated beforehand.
«I really liked JT. Sometimes his passion would get the better of him in the short term .. he's a really liked player in the dressing room»
Boudreau didn't stop there, he also added:
''If I was ever coaching again and I can get him on my team, I would want him in a heartbeat''
Miller is known to be a highly competitive athlete that wears his heart on his sleeve, everyone can agree that his emotion sometimes gets the best of him, but it's also what makes him the player he is. Boudreau was coming out to say it clearly has to mean something in the public's eye.
Today might've been a good example of Miller's «caring», they were at the end of the practice, taking a good old bagger and Miller is actually the one that won the race. How could he be determined as someone who doesn't care?
At this point, I don't believe Miller is up for contention for captainship, though his high level of competitiveness makes him a capable leader when he turns his emotions to his advantage.
