LATEST | Schenn comments the trade rumors he's involved in
While there aren't any confirmation yet, Luke Schenn is most likely being dealt by the time we get to March 3rd.
Both parties have stated that they liked each other. Internally, not only are the Canucks please with the play Schenn's offered, but they're also very please with the impact he's had as an experienced NHLer and culture setting guy.
Today he was interviewed on the subject, following the team's morning practice prior to tonight's matchup against the Red Wings :
"A couple of years ago, you're just trying to be wanted by anyone. Now you're at the point where you're wanted, and it's a compliment for sure, but you want to be wanted, for me, it's always been to be wanted in Vancouver."
Not so long ago, Schenn struggled to maintain a place in an NHL lineup, before he eventually found his way working alongside NHL legend Adam Oates. Back then, he had gone through waivers without even being claimed and now teams are fighting for him.
Luke Schenn sees it as a compliment, but doesn't fail to mention that the only place he wants to be is Vancouver. Could this lead to Schenn signing back with the team this summer?
