LATEST | Horvat makes a statement that'll definitely haunt the Canucks' fans
The news just broke out, the Canucks have parted ways with their captain.
He was sent to the New York Islanders in a blockbuster deal with nothing less then a 3-piece package. Fans are still divided at this point on whether or not they like the return. Obviously trading away your captain definitely hurts the feelings.
Horvat showed up in front of Vancouver media's and admitted that during the Jackets' game he though that it might have been his last game in a Canucks jersey.
Now this one will probably hurt a little more, since this statement clearly came from Horvat's heart:
"I thought I was going to be a Canuck for life. Things didn't work out that way. It's 9 years there. It was a long time. There were so many great memories, and I met so many great people."
Bo Horvat was with the Canucks for the last nine years and he definitely believed he was going to end his career with this team.
It appears that things have gone south between him and the organization. Do you believe the Canucks will attempt to re-sign him if he hits free agency?
