LATEST | Mitch Marner takes shots at the Florida Panthers for their ludicrous strategies
Earlier this week, prior to the Leafs VS. Panthers series, the Floridian team revealed that they'd do their best to refuse access to Canadians who'd want to cheer the Leafs.
The Panthers are now going back home with a 2-0 lead. In his pre-game interview, Mitch Marner was asked about their marketing strategies and took shots at the Panthers' organization:
'' I've been to Florida when I was younger and it's all the Toronto fans down there regardless''
It's a known fact that Florida hosts lots of tourists and is also a prime retirement destination. The Montreal Canadiens are also very popular down there.
Marner then continued and added that this shouldn't affect the way they play on the ice and in no way should this shift their focus. The Leafs have a hard task ahead of them as they'll look to grab the next two games in Florida.
