Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin met with the media on Wednesday to discuss a number of topics including the recoveries of Tanner Pearson and Ilya Mikheyev.

Allvin told reporters that Tanner Pearson's hand is healing and that he should be ready to go for training camp in September.

"His hand is healing. He's preparing himself to be ready for training camp." Allvin said.

Pearson, 30, has been out of action since suffering a hand injury back in November 2022, which has required multiple surgeries. He appeared in 14 games during the 2022-23 season, recording five points (one goal, four assists), 21 penalty minutes and was a minus-nine.

When it comes to Ilya Mikheyev, who suffered an ACL injury during pre-season last Fall, Allvin said that he is expected to resume skating on August 1st and has worked hard to be ready for training camp.

Mikheyev went on to play in 46 games during the 2022-23 season while dealing with the ACL injury, which raised some eyebrows. Ultimately, he was shutdown by the team in January and underwent surgery. In those 46 games, the 28-year-old had 28 points (13 goals, 15 assists), two penalty minutes and was a plus-three.
