LATEST | We now know what happened to Ethan Bear
Ethan Bear was back on the ice Saturday and he skated again with the team yesterday.
It was a shock for everyone when he appeared with a full face shield on, especially since he had been wearing the traditional visor on Saturday. In the media availability after the practice, Bear revealed the true nature of his injury. Per the information we were able to gather, Bear had received a puck to the mouth:
» It was pretty bad, obviously lost a tooth, might lose a couple more, it rung the bell pretty good too. It wasn't pretty.»
Ethan Bear revealed and Rick Tocchet both stated that he was only a practice away from getting back to the line-up.
"I feel good on the ice. It's definitely nice to get out there and practice with the guys again...First time I've had to go through that. 3-4 weeks they're saying (on wearing face shield)."
Obviously, nobody wishes to receive a puck to the face. As can be seen in the interview, Bear's upper lip was pretty beaten up as a result. There is no confirmation at this moment whether or not he'll be back in the lineup tonight, but it'll be soon enough.
