Time is ticking for the Vancouver Canucks, who have yet to sign a top prospect from the 2019 NHL draft, Aidan McDonough.
The 23-year-old has become a standout for the Northeastern University Huskies, but if the Canucks want to keep him they need to hurry up and sign him before McDonough becomes a free agent and can play elsewhere.
Canucks Insider Rick Dhaliwal would discuss the latest on McDonough saying:
"Northeastern sources tell me McDonough has not made up his mind yet...I was told the McDonough camp was impressed with Allvin in that meeting...the #Canucks really want to sign him."
This is a good sign and something positive for the Canucks. McDonough is looking like he's going to become a solid NHL player and would do well to help the Canucks rebuild their team for next season.
