MAJOR | Vicious two-hand slash on Leon Draisaitl: NHL could suspend one of the playoff best defenseman
Things got rough last night in the 4th game of this second-round playoff series between the Golden Knights and the Oilers.
It all broke loose when Pietrangelo got hit from behind by none other than Evander Kane, à last second turn from Pietrangelo angled Kane in a bad position:
Pietrangelo went wild afterward and directly pursued the Oilers' top player Leon Draisaitl and offered a piece of his medicine. Pietrangelo got thrown out in a vicious attempt to injure the Oilers' number 29, but for a play of this sort, is it this punishment really enough?
Connor McDavid directly called him out as he asked for the League to issue a suspension on him.
The 5th episode of this spirited show is set to take place on Friday in Vegas. Edmonton tied it at 2. Yet again, the NHL will have an opportunity to show that player safety is a priority by suspending one of the Knight's top players at a crucial point in the playoffs.
