MUST SEE: Goalie Goal in the ECHL
Only on rare occasions do you get to see a goaltender scoring a goal. Today, Francois Brassard, netminder for the Maine Mariners in the ECHL, scored a goal whilst the other team pulled their goalie.
They were up 4-2 when the Adirondack Thunder pulled their netminder for a 6th forward. They were unable to capitalize with the man advantage and Brassard ended up being one gaining in this situation.
The Mariners ultimately won the game 5-2. Brassard was selected in the 6th round of the 2012 Draft by the Ottawa Senators. He's been in 3 AHL and 69 ECHL games since then.
