MUST SEE | Panthers' Head Coach throws a tantrum on the bench after the playoffs' worst call
The League's officiating has been mind-blowing in recent years, and the Stanley Cup's final game number 3 granted us yet another example.
When the stakes are at their highest, so are the tension and the emotions. With no more than 11 seconds remaining on the boards, the officials made a call that ultimately led to Maurice throwing a tantrum on the bench. Here's the penalty
''Paul Maurice to referee Dan O'Rourke at the end of regulation: "There's no f***ing trip! There's no trip!"
#VGKvsFLA''
Maurice was caught swearing on the bench, and with reason. The Panthers ended up winning the game in Overtime, but this could've very well cost the game and maybe the series, as the Knights held a 2-0 lead at that point.
Surely, the need for consistency is higher than ever in the Stanley Cup Finals, and the officiating will have to do better moving forward.
