Pettey packs a punch in return
Elias Pettersson returned with a vengeance with the Canucks on Thursday. He scored two goals and added three assists, basically playing for all the Canucks goals in regulation against the Seattle Kraken. Did I forget to mention he also scored the shootout winner as well?
The Canucks were abysmal without him and he proved that point being in on every goal the Canucks scored and led them to victory over the Kraken.
The Kraken led for the majority of the game and were looking to finally win over their Pacific rival Canucks but Pettersson led the comeback and also showed the Canucks how valuable he is to their franchise with his multi points night.
He came close (a crossbar and goalpost) of tying Markus Naslund's record of six points in a game (February 2003: one goal, five assists) but capped off the evening with the shootout winner.
It does beg the question tho.
Is he really that good?
