It was already announced a couple of months back that Utah would not have their permanent branding or uniforms ready for the 2024-25 season, which is definitely understandable. It says over a year typically for a team to come up with new branding and uniforms and a little bit longer to perfect it. Hence why we won't see Utah have a name until the 2025-26 campaign.
However, Utah is making strides in choosing their new name. Earlier this week, their owner, Ryan Smith, announced that they are down to four names for the franchise which include 'Yeti' and 'Mammoth'. The other two names are unknown at this time.
With all that being said, many have been wondering what Utah would be wearing jersey-wise for the 2024-25 season. We'll likely have an answer for that in a few weeks at the NHL Entry Draft, but it appears that their inaugural logo has been leaked by the league.
On Friday night on X, an account named @HKYJersey shared the image which the National Hockey League is reportedly already been using and has been added to their API, despite no official reveal by them or the Utah franchise.
The logo is a sky blue circle, with a thinner circle on the insider that's either black or navy blue. It also has 'UTAH' on the inside of the circle, in black or navy blue, with the word 'HOCKEY' above and 'CLUB' below, both in white text.
