LATEST | An update on Bruins forward Milan Lucic: Charges revealed
Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic was arrested over the weekend for an alleged 'domestic incident' and was set to appear in court on Monday morning, but it appears that his arraignment has been shifted to Tuesday.
On Monday however, the charges that Milan Lucic is facing were revealed, those being, according to the Boston Globe - Assault and Battery on a family member.
"Bruins winger Milan Lucic is scheduled to appear in Boston Municipal Court Tuesday on a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member, according to the Suffolk County district attorney's office and clerk's office.
Lucic, 35, faces a single misdemeanor charge stemming from an incident that took place in Boston around 1 a.m. Saturday, according to District Attorney Kevin Hayden's office. Further details of the incident were not immediately available Monday." The Boston Globe said.
The Vancouver native is currently on a leave of absence from the Boston Bruins and there is no timeline on when he could potentially return to the team and play again.
Lucic signed a one-year contract with the Bruins this summer, returning to Boston for the first time since the 2014-15 season. In four games this season, he's recorded two assists, two penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
