LATEST | Last-minute deal for a former first-rounder and former Oiler
The announcement just fell in, the Hurricanes have inked a former first round selection to a professional try-out.
Per the announcement that broke moments ago, the Hurricanes have signed Cory Conacher and the former first rounder and Oiler, Brandon Perlini:
''The #Canes have signed forwards Cory Conacher and Brendan Perlini to professional tryout agreements (PTOs).''
The 12th overall in 2014, the 6'4'' forward last played in the NHL in 2021-2022 when he suite up for 23 Oilers game managing 5 points. He spent the majority of this last season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves where he managed 15 points in 26 outings.
