The Oilers haven't been performing up to their expected level since the beginning of the season, and as if that wasn't enough, they just learned that their superstar centerman Connor McDavid would be out of commission for the next two weeks.

After a 3-2 OT loss, many Oilers showed their disappointment, and some veteran even took their anger to the media to tell it as it was.

KANE WASTE NO TIME GETTING TO THE POINT

Evander Kane was displeased with his utilization and used doubtful techniques to send his message to Jay Woodcroft, the Oilers' head coach. Here's the interview in question:

''Didn't play much in the first period so I thought, might as well get into a fight and take 7 or 8 minutes in the box.''

To see Woodcroft sitting Kane shouldn't come off as a surprise. The Oilers' number 91 has 1 assist and 0 goals through their first games and a -7 differential to go with it. Everybody knows Kane is quite good at calling out; it may be time he focuses on the performances he delivers on the ice.
