A scary scene has emerged during the always highly anticipated "Battle of Alberta" matchup with the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames as the game was postponed for a short period of time as a fan suffered a medical emergency in the stands.
A big game like this draws all the eyes to the ice, but unfortunately, everyone's attention was quickly turned to the stands as the game was forced to be put on pause when it was discovered a fan collapsed in the stands.
The flames were about to gain a lot of momentum with an early power play opportunity, but it was quickly snuffed out as medical professionals and first responders were addressing someone in the stands behind the players bench.
The game was temporarily paused while medical personnel tended to the ailing individual and they were transported to a local hospital.
The game was halted while another ambulance was deployed to the arena and medical personnel were available again. After a brief delay, the game resumed.
Apparently, players on both the Oilers and Flames were pretty shaken up by the event as according to a new report the EMT's had to perform CPR and lifesaving actions to the fan in question.

As it stands, there is no update on the fan that was rushed to the hospital, but we hope that everything turns out to be okay and more updates will follow.
